This is going to be a really rough series. I, as a Avs follower, hate the

Great accomplishment by Colorado getting back to the Stanley Cup Finals yet I think Tampa Bay is the pick in this series, maybe in as few as 5 games, yet I will forecast, Lightning in 6.

Superior advantage in goal. Took the harder road against better competition to the Finals. Own the confidence from experience in winning the Cup the last two seasons.

The Avalanche is dangerous, talented and deep and playing very well but I just don't see it winning this series, which is a discouraging belief to have swirling around in my head.

Nice comp with the Packers-Broncos Super Bowl.

Broncos won because they were physically tough and could run the ball, played good-enough defense and made clutch plays. Can the Avalanche win the physical game, play well in the clutch and prove more than good enough on defense? Can it weather the loss of Kadri, unlikely to play or be as strong performance wise if he does?

Would be euphoric if Colorado can prove its mettle vs. Tampa Bay. It would be an incredible accomplishment to best the two-time defending champions.
