Level Playing Field

The LA Dodgers are spending $288MM on their payroll this year, while the Baltimore Orioles are spending $44MM. There has never been a true level playing field in Professional Sports, although salary caps, luxury taxes and the draft are supposed to be equalizers. I'm a businessman who sees the importance of fielding a highly competitive CU football team, both for current students and alumni support. Having the State of Colorado limit Assistant Coaches salaries combined with CU making it difficult for undergrads to transfer in is just plain bad business!!
