All court precedents are not necessarily good for society

In writing this, this comment is only in response to your core point, not RvW in particular.

I still expect cswilliam to jump on my neck about it though. 3..2..1

Laws and legal precedent are not hard social science. They are the pulse of the day. We've seen this previously. And honestly, I think it's a reasonable debate to question if all legal precedent should be all defensible and the law forevermore. Again, speaking to the core issue, not about RvW.

Sorry, got to go. Cswilliam is at my door with a noose for my hanging.
