As far as the GOAT, one has to look at Sakic's incredibly good numbers. He's been retired for a while so I think we tend to forget how accomplished a career that "Super Joe" had (625 goals and 1,641 points) and 188 playoff points in 172 games. Forsberg's greatness might have dimmed in the memory but he was fantastic too and Roy was a big-time playoff goalie.

Like you write, if Makar can stay healthy, he seems destined for greatness. Maybe the best ever, as you predict (but that's a tall mountain to climb). As for now, I hope the Avs can show out in the playoffs moving forward and Makar can win the Norri
