Bold statement, i know. time will bear it out though

i know a lot of people can't watch the Avs right now, but i've seen just about every game he's played. he's not only a great offensive defenseman, he's a solid defender and one of their best penalty killers. he's only 23, and maybe the best player in the league right now. definitely has been the most dominant in the playoffs so far.

just for some context, in their age 23 seasons, Sakic had 29 goals, 65 assists, +5. Forsberg had 30 goals, 58 assists, +31. Makar just had 28 goals, 58 assists, +48. As a defenseman. Barring some crazy bad injury luck, he'll go down as the franchise's best ever if he can win a couple cups.
