Can you throw a football 60 yards, or run a 4.35 40?

I hate to tell you this ... but your skill set has a lot less value (and mine as well) than someone that can do those things listed above.

When you can do those things, you get millions of people that want to watch you on TV and millions of people willing to pay 1000's of dollars on season tickets.

We can argue all day long if athletes, movie stars, doctors, teachers, or ditch digger should earn more ... but in our society, we let the free market dictate what those salaries should be and when an industry colludes to artificially set prices below the fair market value, the US laws dictate that is illegal. That is what the Supreme Court said rather empathically in their last judgement.
