I've never been a head coach in any high school sport but I've been an assistant coach in multiple high school sports. I've been an assistant coach in football in several states, mostly in SEC country, and I've been on the coaching staff of teams ranked in the national Top 25.

Just off the top of my head, I've coached and known players who have gone to: Nebraska, Iowa State, Texas, Texas A&M, LSU, Louisiana Tech, Florida, Miami, Florida St, Alabama, Vanderbilt, Utah State, and many others. I was NOT the reason those players played college ball but I contributed to their development. I was blessed to live in places with strong high school football programs that allowed me to coach.

I agree with everything you said in your post. I'm not saying f*** all the players. I'm saying f*** the greedy football players who are ruining it for everyone else. Yes, f*** the adults, too. I clearly mentioned them in my post. I've known some of those adults. I coached at a private school in Louisiana and a public school in Alabama where those adults were a constant nuisance because we had teams that were loaded with P5 talent.

The point of my post is that I'm fed up with people repeating the lie that college football player were making millions of dollars for their respective schools and getting nothing in return. That's 100% bullshit. Now, as a result of the greed, the pendulum has swung too far (which some of us here have predicted for years) and all college sports are now a mess.
