It's an outright travesty

Pretty much across the board, I prefer college sports to pro. Playing for love of the game, opportunities to get a top-notch education that you otherwise couldn't afford, pride in school tradition and the name on the front of the jersey, working your way up the depth chart, etc.

In essence, what's good about the game is now irreversibly tarnished. What a shame.
