This is a good point.

on this team, Malone is left with no option, but Barton constantly blames others on the court, hasn't been the same offensive player for 2-3 seasons, and is not comfortable deferring to others (he's the 5th-7th best player on the roster imo). Malone has consistently 'gone to bat' for Will, citing his locker room presence while pleading with the FO to retain him in the press. Barton hurts his team more than he helps it.
