Good coaches aren't as easy to find as you might imagine
Malone is good.
Consider this: 48 wins without your second and third best players and last year's no. 1 pick missing a chunk of games.
Consider this too: Denver flopped down the stretch, losing two VERY winnable games, against the TWolves and Spurs. Win those two games and Denver is playing Dallas instead of a suddenly healthy Golden State team. I like Denver over the Mavericks this season if they would have played. I never thought Denver could beat the Warriors down Murray and MPJ.
Now, was it Malone's fault they lost those two regular season games. You could say it was him or the players.
He's not Popovich but he's good enough to keep. Plus, ownership and the front office believe in him.
