I remember one time when Tony Gwynn called into his show

Pretended to be a fan of Denver sports teams, and Irv figured it out as the Padres were in town

It didn’t matter what sport, he knew everyone at the HS, college and pros.

I miss that show

I would love to hear a rerun of those two discussing Elway and the Broncos and Buffs back in the late 80s
