One huge difference between the extreme right and left you're ignoring.

The extreme right in this country protects their favorite institutions - big oil, gun rights, Christian churches, etc. Not coincidentally, these groups spend massive piles of cash on lobbying. Otherwise, why would lower-middle class Americans vote against their own best interest?

The extreme left in this country tries to empower disadvantaged people. You might not like that, but there is no big money behind their motivations.

It's altruism versus brainwashing funded by greed. You could see the difference if you choose too.
