When I was in 5th or 6th grade at Centennial we used to sneak into Balch by going thru Carlson gym on the west side of Balch. Hung signs on the balcony above the court on the west end. I remember “Cliff Country” was our go to sign for Meely. They eventually kicked us out of the balcony after most of the 68-69 season. No one was ever on that thin little balcony that ran along the baseline. It was a safety hazard. Gordon Tope had a buzz cut.
