....who would leave their seat and come over to the desk where Nolan would broadcast?

The "Mike Nolan Kiss of Death (MNKOD)" for some prediction he made.

I do remember though he picked the huge CU victory in Boulder over Nebraska. Before that game he said, "I feel there is something brewing up in Boulder."

Other confident forecasts didn't turn out so well.
