Good energy from the team tonight. Tad had his guys ready.
Pretty flat in the first half on both ends. I'm also not a fan of the corner 3 set (whatever it's called) because usually it feels like we're flat-footed and playing with a guy in the penalty box. But tonight even that sucked less because our energy on offense was really good. Key showed some really solid leadership tonight. Hammond gave us some real quality minutes when KJ went down. Walker was at his best around the rim, even against a bigger team. (I hope he learns from that, and doesn't press on his outside shots.) Evan wanted this one, and he delivered. I hope KJ bounces back for Sunday. I still think that kid has the most upside of anyone on the team outside of maybe Walker. (I'm looking to see what kind of big he turns into. The skills are through the roof, of course.)
The refs absolutely sucked on both ends. Just imaginary contact on too many possessions. If that continues, I do not see us doing well in road games.
PS, today was Tad's birthday - nice win for Coach.
