Very good assessment. I might add one thing. Lack of identity a QB killer.

There has never really been any consideration as to what type of QB we need to run this offense because we don't know what our offense is or is supposed to do. They might recruit a drop-back guy, they might get a dual threat guy who can run - whomever is available and willing to take a chance on our school. The attitude is, "Let's just get a guy and then see what he can do." That is the recipe for failure and I don't think it has helped us with the recruiting of QBs.

Look at Mike Leach. He was amazing at getting guys who could just throw the ball accurately, on-time, and run his pass-happy offense. Why would any decent QB sign up for this mess we have here on offense?

Sorry to be so negative, but let's face it, this offense has been a disaster for years now. In our best years, we are simply inconsistent, even in 2016.
