Agree - he isn’t retiring and he’s a lifer at Utah - also

He finally has a great QB in Cam Rising, who will be playing on Sundays. He will want to ride that horse and see what happens.

But even without Rising, he stays a Ute. And he stays the coach. He IS Utah.

If he stays he will join the small pantheon of coaches who will always be know for the greatness they brought to the program, who stayed. Schembeckler, Woody Hayes, Bear Bryant, Paterno, Barry Switzer. I include Lavelle. If Whit stays - he will belong in this list and he will be always be revered - for generations.

You will be seeing several more years with Whit as Utah’s coach. Nothing else makes sense.
