I just had knee replacement on Nov 3. First 5 days, needed help with

pain management. I used as little Oxycodone as possible. Tramadol mixed with Tylenol is good for moderate to severe pain. It was tough getting comfortable sleeping, but better than I expected.

I bought the Donjoy Iceman (insurance covered half of it). It has been a difference maker.

Elevation and ice are your best friend for at least two weeks. If you not getting a knee replacement are trying to relieve pain, ice and elevation are still good.

I have been able to walk 300 yards, three time a day. Doing much better now following my PT exercises, stretches, walking, icing. Only using Tylenol as needed now.
