Nobody is

USC players, fans, and media don't care about this week's game at all. This is a lost season for them and the only thing anyone on the USC side cares about is finishing the recruiting class strongly in Dec and hiring the right head football coach. Hiring the right coach is THE thing that matters. This game at 11am pacific on P12 Network against lowly Colorado means nothing to them. Absolutely nothing.

CU players probably care about this game but many of the fans have checked out. Beating USC this week would be meaningless. In any other year, a victory over the Trojans would count but this year would feel hollow because they have an interim coach and they're stuck playing Solvis at QB because Dart is injured. Dart is the QB everyone is excited about. I'm being honest in saying I really don't care what CU does this Saturday. Win, lose, whatever. Until Karl is replaced, this program will go nowhere meaningful. A win here and there, sure, but it won't be a successful program until a great coach who is a great recruiter with a great culture is hired. Karl ain't the guy.

Notice how Mel was hired away after going 5-7? It's because Michigan State knew how good he was as a coach/recruiter/culture guy. Do you think there is a program in America that would try and steal Karl away from CU? Of course not, he's awful, which is why the last time he was a head coach was 14 years ago in 2007. Rick George blew this hire and now we're stuck with Karl for who knows how long. Zzzzzzzzzzz.
