Trying to decide what will make me feel better about this program

I have no idea what the record will be the rest of the way for this season with or without Chiaverini. However, he has proven he has no business as offensive coordinator. I have a good sense the record will be better without him. He wasn't very good a few years ago and it's getting worse. Yes, they've had a decent running attack except for a few costly stupid play calls, but the passing game is horrible and the situational play calling is horrible. I will also say the passing game play design isn't very good either.

As I understand it, he had problems accepting the fact he wasn't going to become head coach and may have said something about leaving. If he did say he was going to leave, the athletic director should have shown him the door.

True story... a faculty member where I worked for many years until I retired threatened the dean she would leave if she didn't get what she wanted in terms of salary and teaching assignments. The dean pulled out a sheet of paper from his desk and told her she could write a resignation and sign it. If she didn't, she was gone anyway. That's what should have been done with Chiaverini. Yes, he is a former Colorado player. However, the offensive performance even with a young quarterback strongly suggests he doesn't know what he is doing, and he had become toxic if and when he threatened to leave if he didn't get what he wanted.
