It was a good competition. Better guy won, imo.
Drew is young, will still have his chances to earn a starting role, either here in Denver if Teddy struggles or gets injured, or elsewhere.
Drew seems like a decent guy, but I don't think he garners the same respect from teammates that Teddy does. And it doesn't really matter what the fans think, it matters what the locker room thinks. For the way this Broncos team is set up, with the highest paid defense in the league, you don't need or necessarily want a gunslinger QB with "potential". You want a competent guy who's confident in the pocket and smart with the ball.
