The master plan didn't originally have RG looking at KD

I like KD (now, not originally) because I think he checks a lot of boxes for "senior-level" leadership.

If I'm KD, my assistants know "recruit well or be gone." That has to be a mantra. Recently I took a training where the trainer kept saying about certain duties, "it is easy to do at a low or mediocre level," adding that you have to do it at a high level to succeed. Same goes for recruiting. It's very easy to do at a low or mediocre level, like CU is doing.

Bill Snyder was bland at Kansas State. He won without great classes.

I don't know if CU will recruit great later this season but I do hope some wins and an upset or two lead to two or three great players.

What is going to be more important in the "now" is coaching, like what is being done at Iowa State, Northwestern and schools of that "ilk."

I'm with you though: recruiting looks terrible now. That is going to come at great cost on game days. You have to have talent and depth moving forward.

I do see this roster as being better than recent additions but still thin. The new wave of recruits, looking lackluster in the moment.
