I'm in favor of keeping politics out of all sports

Agree with all you said about the unifying aspect of sports. Sports can unify people at all levels. CU fans should be able to put aside their political differences and cheer for the Buffs on a beautiful fall afternoon. Americans should be able to put aside their differences and cheer for the U.S. of A in the Olympics, the World Cup, etc. Sports can unify and promote peace.

If the USWNT wants to walk a picket line before and after their games, then good for them. However, they shouldn't bring politics into the stadium while they're in uniform. Same goes for the NBA, the NFL, NCAA teams, HS teams, and on down the line. JMO.

Free speech is important but just because you can do something doesn't mean you should do it. I also don't like that American athletes are airing domestic dirty laundry in front of an international audience. Again JMO
