Yes, historic example that would be severely prosecuted today

That was 40 years ago. And I know the history of redlining. Similar discrimination happened to Jews.

But my glass half full perspective is that while progress has been slow since the passage of the Civil Rights Act, the momentum has been forward moving over the last 60 years and 2021 is a much different era.

In 2021, an immigrant who doesn't speak English and working menial jobs, can still become a land owner with their own home. That's what America is, and is supposed to be, about.
