I am 100 percent in your camp on what you wrote about

"Speak your truth" or "Share your truth."

I get the purpose and backstory of it. It is well meaning. It encourages people to speak up courageously and assertively.

It is also absurd in its belief and wording.

There is truth. There is no "your truth" or "my truth."

That gets parroted and celebrated so much I want to wretch.

I read that was some Oprah-inspired bullsh*t. Who knows for sure.

"Which is dangerously wrong."

I had forgotten about that parable. Thank you for the reminder. I'm going to go look it up and read it again.
