But Universities see AD budgets like Marketing dollars..

and if you separate the sport from the school, where does the money come from?

Seems that would create a bunch of low paid minor leagues that would pay a lot less than a major university NIL deal.

NIL money is tied to individual schools and the boosters of the same.

A Univ. of Miami alum who now owns fitness gyms in Florida is playing the entire U football team some NIL $$.

Universities fueled the AD budget race because of the quantifiable tie between athletic success and the number of students who apply to the school.

Alabama and Clemson justify their coaching salary budgets by pointing to the increase in students applying for admission.

A local friend's daughter went to Alabama for undergrad in large part because of football Saturday's in Tuscaloosa.
