I saw a stat, that 95% of those hospitalized for COVID were unvaccinated

However, I won't go far as to communicate I am not bothered by deaths of people for turning down the vaccine. Badger Buff talked about how one of his children was advised not to take the vaccination because of a health condition (colitis, maybe?). What do you do with that, as a parent or even if you are an adult, being advised like that?

There could be other reasons for many people than just stubbornness. We assume everyone is an idiot. I doubt that's true. Yes, some people just don't like being told what to do. I know people like this!

NOW, for those saying, "eff it," yeah, not sure how I feel about it. Still, I don't want anyone to get really sick or pass. For one, it really causes misery for their loved ones. Two, sometimes people are just not being communicated respectfully and effectively about the benefits in a way that resonates with them and their interests.

Years ago, I heard Tony Robbins say people either move towards (rewards) or move away (from risks they see or believe they see). Why, as humans we're either trying to gain pleasure or avoid pain. I also believe we're seeking certainty and moving away from risk (in most situations), that make sense to us.

Regardless of what one thinks of Robbins (helpful or a charlatan), there's a lot of truth in what he says.

At risk of sounding like an affiliate or infomercial, here's another one: People don't often change until they experience enough pain.

"Enough pain" of course is very subjective and personal to all of us. It differs from person to person, from group to group.
