Didn't read the article but what you listed makes sense. Most experts see

a big boost in inflation as temporary. But the markets freak out when someone farts so they will not take kindly to a 4-5% boost.

There are so many pipeline issues, from goods to labor. They should work themselves out but pain will be felt. From econ 101 lack of supply leads to higher prices when the demand is there. You better believe after our Covid hibernation the demand is there.

The major supplier to my business has held prices decently, but getting product is a nightmare. They are not getting the raw goods. They also lost a lot of employees to Amazon when Covid hit. Many are not coming back and new ones need a training curve.

I was a lib that was against Biden's "free money even to those who do not need it at all" plan. I definitely want a safety net for those that need it, but we need to end certain subsidies so people feel work is a better alternative to government checks.
