Presidents and the military

While I don't think military service should be a prerequisite to become president, history has shown that it certainly helps a president empathize with and understand the troops he is commanding.

I know people who flew Presidential support and congressional support when Clinton was president. They all say Bill and Hillary were horses asses and it was clear they didn't understand why people serve or appreciate their service.

I don't know anyone who flew support for Obama but I never saw anything that would indicate disrespect for the military.

IMO Trump is much like Clinton. He just doesn't get it. Biden certainly gets it but either his handlers bungled this or he bungled it. And it was an enormous bungle.
