We are way over due for an NFL caliber QB. Here are some numbers to ponder:

Since 1997, when Koy was drafted, 120 different schools have had QBs drafted (293 different QBs).

The 65 'power 5' schools have had a total of 204 qbs drafted since then, & Colorado, South Carolina, Maryland, Minnesota, Kansas, and Wake Forest are the only ones to not have a QB drafted in that time frame.

Of the non-'power 5' teams to have qbs drafted since then, BYU, CSU, Fresno state, Louisiana Tech, Nevada, North Dakota state, and Tulane are tied for the most drafted at 3. How can we not find an nfl-caliber quarterback when teams like that can? it boggles the mind.
