That applies to poor people whether white, black or brown.


If a student was from a poorer neighborhood, expectations are usually lower, although many manage to take advantage of what schools can offer and they succeed in spite of the economic situation that isn't their fault.

But, it does seem to be very unfairly applied to blacks and hispanics.

And there is the soft bigotry of high expectations on Asian American students.
