Well said. You're right, there's more to defense than effort, and when


you combine that kind of athleticism with that kind of tenacity, the result is the Zags looking completely outclassed. Pete Carill said the closer kids lived to the train tracks, the better they rebounded. It also helped that during the tournament I thought the refereeing was consistent for the most part and they were letting them play a more physical game. A friend of mine who coached in the nba said referees are bad at all levels, it's just a really hard thing to do. Baylor pushed those limits.
