Relentless defensive pressure is what every coach tells their team

they want to see. Baylor takes this to a whole new level. They rarely let up. They seem to enjoy defense more than offense. It shows that defense is more than just effort. They are in good position on and off the ball. They bump cutters. They contest shots. On one play, Kispert looked to have a wide open three and Butler closed out so fast, Kispert ended up travelling.

Baylor is willing to be physical every time down court. They are close to fouling constantly but it's good positioning, no hand checks, and they use chest to contain movement. Davion Mitchell is excellent at staying in front of his man. He is TR Dunn with some offensive skills. They still foul quite a bit, but they completely throw off a team's offensive flow. Plus, refs don't want to blow the whistle every time down.

Mark Vital was a beast on the offensive boards and kept the Baylor offense alive when they did miss. Baylor had 16 O boards.

It's also nice to have those kinds of athletes that can shoot and drive to the hoop like that. 4 really skilled, athletic, defensive minded guards. 69 of Baylors 86 points came from Mitchell, Butler, Teague and Flagler.
