Allow me to try

I think the wr productivity has had more to do with inconsistent QB and O-line play than on the receivers.

Recently, Shenault, Tony Brown, Winfree, and Ento all had enough skills to make NFL rosters. That's four guys in three years. Nixon couldn't find the field this year, but USC seems to think he's good enough to bring in. Brady Russell (a TE but I'm including him here) was a walk-on that has turned into an excellent passing threat. Stanley was markedly better this year than last, Lavontae didn't see the field is freshman year, but looked like a future star last season and may have a breakout year this fall.

WR has clearly been a position of strength here recently.
