Stop cowering to the SEC and B1G in FB TV schedules
Top to bottom, the Pac12 isn't as competitive as those conferences in FB IMO, but we still have an entertaining group of teams, and I think we can compete for TV audiences. Not everyone wants to watch the SEC/NFL minor leagues every weekend. Put USC vs. Oregon up against Georgia vs. Florida, or other such matchups. Same with the 2nd tier games. Put Utah vs. ASU up against Michigan vs. Northwestern during those 1-3PM times, instead of kicking off at 11PM EST.
Also, this would probably end the interview, but it needs to be put out on the table. If the Pac12 wants to compete with the other conferences, we need to promote football first, then the other sports. LS screwed up when he thought he could sell the Pac12 network coverage of all sports nationwide. No one in Jersey cares how many Olympic sports we have, and they're not going to pay for the Pac12 network so they can watch volleyball, or soccer, or lacrosse. I don't know if it's possible to restructure at this point, but it would be great if the Pac12 could sell a football package to a big network independent from the rest of the sports, then offer streaming packages like the B1G network does. I'd pay $120/year to get Pac12 b-ball, women's softball, and a few others.
Anyway, I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night, so I know what I'm talking about.
