total folly. Do a little more research on acceptance into Leeds or the College of Engineering and Applied Science. And then get back to me. Personal experience: daughter direct admit into CEAS. Lived in Kittredge "Engineering wrap" where majority of kids in the wrap were out of state. I can tell you first hand, they got in because of money and not academics. I might agree with your point as it applies to A&S. And as far as acceptance rate; if you cast your net a little further out (i.e., increased sample size), you'll find my point is spot on.
