I would rank Westwood over Lubbock

But not USC's location. USC's campus is great but it is an island. I've been to games at the Coliseum which is just blocks from campus and all the stores have bars on the windows, if not sliding metal security doors they slide down at night. I think its ranking is well-deserved to the extent you're talking about the nearby surroundings . . .

UCLA is in much nicer area - far superior to Lubbock and another of the towns listed above it IMO.
