On this day in 1951, in an exhibition game at the University of Southern California, Mickey Mantle hit a home run estimated at 654 to 660 feet.

Look at where home plate is and over all that land those balls reportedly traveled before landing. I thought, is that even humanly possible to hit a ball that far? WOW. Powdered them.
