Jemarl Baker transferring from AZ. Former KY player is a good shooter,
but he's a SG, not a PG. Will probably end up closer to LA, his home. But, he is aware of all PAC12 schools and may want to stay with a competitive team. He probably wants to play somewhere that isn't going to be in a cloud of constant investigation.
Was part of the 2017 Kentucky class that had Nick Richards (NBA), Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (NBA), Quade Green (trans to Washington) , Kevin Knox (NBA), Jarred Vanderbilt (NBA), PJ Washington (NBA), Hamidou Diallo (NBA). No wonder he didn't play much his freshman year, then in 2018 they brought in Tyler Herro, Keldon Johnson and Immanuel Quickley (all 3 in the NBA now). So he pretty much had to transfer just to get to play some.
He's good, he just hasn't been able to show it much yet. Quade Green was decent for UW this year. I don't know if he'll stay or go pro. He had 14 against the Buffs.
He originally was a Cal commit before deciding on UK.
