They always have him guard the worst offensive guard on the floor so the defensive efficiency stats are a bit misleading because they are based on the offensive efficiency of the person you are guarding. His on ball defense is probably the weakest of all the nuggets guards. Just too small, and not exceptionally quick. When he gets in a switch situation on anyone 6-3 or taller he has no chance, so other players rotate to help him, and that always leaves someone open. He does get his hand on a lot of balls by playing the passing lanes though.
