I have enjoyed Sowell's work. He stands out for his thinking.

I think a lot can be lost on this board when you don't see facial expression and tone of voice to help interpret what is actually written.
Sometimes facial expression and tone of voice aren't needed to make an interpretation.

I get pretty aggravated when I see someone telling me to "get over myself" regarding my thoughts and opinions. What they are saying is that their opinions or thoughts are far better than yours. They are telling you to abandon your worthless thoughts and accept theirs as being far superior. I won't do that.

I can get a little aggravated at some of things I read here. I believe most of the people who share commentary here are decent and have good intentions and I let things go that might aggravate me. There have been a few who come across as plain nasty in my mind. Irish and hawg are not among them.

By the way, I think Thomas Sowell is a brilliant, thoughtful man. I always seemed to agree with his good friend, Walter Williams as well.
