I have enjoyed Sowell's work. He stands out for his thinking.
Irish and hawg got into a scuffle, like teammates do at times. I'm sure they both have let it go.
I read through most of their exchange. My gut instinct is that the topic is a personal and painful one, through experience, for Irish.
I respected his strong views even though I see things differently. hawg has different experiences and from my seat on the 50-yard line, it appeared he was attempting to have Irish look at the debate differently.
I personally like Irish and hawg. They're both good dudes. Different but quality people.
I think there was wounding and pain Irish might have that influences the lens he looks at Sark through. If that's accurate, I have compassion for him. We all have our trauma in life. I do too.
I don't think hawg meant any harm. I really dont. Maybe he should not have used that acronym. That may have been an error.
As for the debate, it may have not shown well but hawg was expressing compassion for those with struggles with addiction who are walking the hard road to heal and overcome it.
I respect that you and I may disagree on it though.
