Regarding Sarkisian... I don't think Colorado should have taken a chance on him with the history of personal trouble and instability he has. Suing the university (USC) that employed him for wrongful termination with his circumstances seems pretty odd to me. It appears he failed to hold himself accountable for his own troubles.

I believe it takes 5 years of sobriety before a recovering alcoholic reaches a 15% relapse rate. I believe the relapse rate is about 67% for less than one year, and 50% for one year or more of sobriety. As the 5 year relapse rate suggests, chances of staying sober improve with time.
