From what I can see - it will be 3-4 years before this bears fruit.


First - I think it is a distortion to claim that KD is being different from his predecessors. There isn’t a single mafia or midmajor coach who would be satisfied with a season that really showed how far away they were from being competitive,

It seems to me KD does not immediately bring a ton of four and five star recruits with him. He is going to have to build his players up physically as well as mentally. A number of CU players will evolve into being upper tier P5 caliber. A number just won’t. He has to build both a high caliber starting group and depth.

Do I think KD is the man for the job? Yes. But he is not a magnetic recruiter. So it will take time.
