Come off liability protection for businesses. GOP has believed in lazze faire economic policy since late 1880’s and have never wavered except during TR and Taft admin. Even then TR didn’t think Taft went far enough in favor of workers. Dems don’t need to pass 2021 omnibus bill with Harris giving deciding vote starting next week. I don’t think Mitch and McCarthy want a govt shutdown after last week and today. The pub brand can only take so many hits right now. If both sides decide this is a real crisis period for the American people, maybe the extremely historic events of the last month motivates them to pass a bill with higher direct payments to individuals and states with reasonable liability laws included for businesses
