Scholarship Finance Question


Bear with me on this. In 2018, The Buff Club said that $11MM was spent on 330 athletes for scholarships and associated costs. That is $33,333 per athlete, yet recent stats show total cost for in state student is $34,000 and $54,000 for out of state. I know that CU Administration bills the Athletic Dept full cost of tuition for in state ($11,000) and out of state ($34,000), even though actual cost to educate an in state student is exact same as out of state. Anyone have a clue regarding Athletic Dept finances?
