Do Rockies clean house?........yes they do........
Birdich experiment is over. Top draft picks have not panned out, free agents were mostly a bust, the players don't respect the upper level management, minor league system is ranked third to last in the league, Black is not being listened to, and this is my gut feeling. It's not always bad to clean house but this might be it. Most the year they didn't look like a team they looked like a whole bunch of average players trying to make the team not help the team. If you were to ask me who the leader of this team was I don't think I could answer that. And the future does look good at all. Charlie Blackmon came out on fire but from August 3rd to today he's batting .205. I think he's past being a special player and back to an average to below average player, and he bats 4th. Arenado will be back because who would pay that kind of money from a Coors field player who is below average this year. But mainly I believe they will clean house is because they don't know what kind of fan support they will have next year. I don't plan on going to many games, it's downtown and if you've been downtown during the day you won't want to be there at night. How many fans come back? Lack of interest. If it weren't for our fantasy baseball league I wouldn't have watched two or three games. And when the playoffs come about, none. All sports are in trouble and when I ask friends what they think they say pretty much what I've said, no interest. Surprisingly I thought that once sports came back on line that there would be a lot of interest. But not so. Just the opposite. Whether it's not being able to participate watching a game or white or black millionaires telling me I'm a bad privledged white person, not sure. Interesting times we live in and watching people today is eye opening. This "it's all about me" movement started with MTV in the 80's.
