What's this?

Most anti-science people fall into one big group...

They cannot do math. They aren't just "rusty" ,they just suck at simple,middle school math. I teach Chemistry. First day of class I give a simple 10 problem (all word problems) quiz. One must get at least 7 correct to take my class.

Example- Karen has a bakery. At the end of the day she has 3 loaves of bread left over. The total weight (I don't use mass) is 6 1/2 pound of all 3 loaves. What is the AVERAGE weight of each loaf?

Can't do that one,you can't solve kinetic problems. In fact, you can't take any higher level science classes. Math skills are scary for a lot of people.
