science, which is a fascinating topic. Speaking of Francis Collins, I actually heard him speak at church, where he thinks that both religion and science are perfectly compatible and not opposed to each other at all.

The thing is -- authoritarian rulers are not necessarily religious. Trump is not religious in the least. He has no religious faith to speak of. The Soviet Union and most Communist countries have no religion, because the state government is the religion. Same with the Third Reich and Hitler. Those dictatorships saw their own rulers as the supreme beings. The Communist government is China and Vietnam have no religion, and North Korea is not religious in the slightest. So right now, except for the fundamentalist Islamic nations, the dictatships that exist, are mostly atheistic. -- B4E
