Racism hurts my heart. It makes me very uncomfortable, but what is

far worse, is that it greatly affects the lives of all people of color towards which it is directed.
It is not humane or compassionate to portray people of color as ignorant dupes of Democrats who conspire to keep them "on the Democrats' plantation." That is very odious.
It is not humane or compassionate to diminish and minimize the killing of people of color by law enforcement. It is not compassionate to diminish the mis-treatment by saying that they should be more focused on crime in their own communities. That is a hurtful deflection.
It is not humane or compassionate to say that when black athletes kneel in pre-game ceremonies, that they look like ISIS hostages. That's terribly offensive.
It is cringe-worthy.
William and Churdslick are correct in calling that out.
One of the reasons that America struggles with racism, is that people become very uncomfortable with talking about it and pointing it out. It is not something that is supposed to be discussed, so it tends to stay around like spoiled food in the back of the refrigerator.
We should have spoken about this long ago, and William and Churdslick did the right thing in speaking up about it. -- B4E
